ESTEPONA, COSTA DEL SOL, SPAIN.
Estepona is the most westerly resort on the Costa del Sol and still retains much of a quieter atmosphere compared to its other neighbours.
Primarily a fishing town Estepona has a pleasant promenade and harbour area. The resort is perhaps most suitable for families or couples preferring a quieter less commercialised resort. The main beach hosts a varierty of watersports and is backed by the promenade with a few restaurants. Shopping is centred around the centre of town with a few local shops offering a selection of ceramics and leathergoods.
A variety of Tapas bars and a few local restaurants serving the seafood specialities.
A local bus service runs frequently between Estepona and Marbella with connections less frequently to Fuengirola, Torremolinos and Malaga.
