Benalmadena Costa
BENALMADENA COSTA, COSTA DEL SOL, SPAIN.
The lively resort of Benalmadena Costa is located between the popular resorts of Torremolinos and Fuengirola. Some 2 miles inland from the coast you will find the pretty mountain town of Benalmadena Pueblo which still retains its "Andaluz" flavour of whitewashed houses and narrow cobbled streets. There is a small museum located here which has an interesting collection of sculptures and ceremics.
The other inland town close by is Arroyo de La Miel which is home to the famous Costa del Sol Tivoli World. It provides hours of entertainment for all the family in the form of great rides and stage shows.
Back in Benalmadena Costa the Puerto Deportivo is the home to a large marina and enjoys a bustling nightlife as many of the Spanish from Malaga descend on the many bars in the area. Benalmadena has a wide range of Family hotels and a range of Costa del Sol apartments to suit all tastes and budgets although the area is perhaps most popular with familes in the summer months and the slightly older guests in the winter off season.
Shopping in Benalmadena is mainly of the tourist variety although some leather goods can be found. There is also a weekly flea market.
