TORREMOLINOS, COSTA DEL SOL, SPAIN.
Torremolinos was perhaps the first resort on the Costa del Sol to cater for the needs of the mass tourism market. Located just 10miles from Malaga. The resort is perhaps best suited to our livelier clients or the more mature couples in the winter months.
Two distinct beach areas dominate the resort with the Playamar to the east and the Carihuela to the west.
The seafront has undergone a major refurbishment recently and a new promenade runs from La Carihuela through to Benalmadena. La Carihuela offers a great beach by day and a delightful array of seafood restaurants by night.
There is still a maze of alleyways centred around the Calle San Miguel which gives a flavour of the old town and offers lots of small bars frequented by the locals.
Shopping in Torremolinos offers something for everyone from the souvenir shops to the small boutiques which can still be found.
Eating out in the resort is certainly cosmopolitan with everything from fast food outlets to fine seafood restaurants.
Entertainments in Torremolinos are varied and bars and clubs abound. During the day the large waterpark is a firm favourite with our family clients and the public transport to the other main resorts on the Costa del Sol is good.
